Sara Haines slams ‘diva’ Madonna for 2-hour concert delay amid ‘false advertising’ lawsuit - Page Six

Sara Haines called out Madonna for acting like a “diva” after the singer was sued by fans for starting her concert two hours late.

“It is disrespectful. You are literally flipping off your fans who paid to come and watch you. You can be a diva, you should not act like a diva,” Haines said on Friday’s episode of “The View.”

Haines emphasized that it’s important to “respect someone’s time the way you expect them to respect yours,” especially when fans are “paying hundreds of dollars” to see her.

When co-host Joy Behar pondered why the Queen of Pop is tardy for her shows, Haines doubled down that it’s “because she’s acting like a diva!”

Behar agreed with Haines and joked, “I personally wouldn’t wait two hours to get a hot oil massage from George Clooney, much less a concert by anybody!”

Alyssa Farah Griffin jumped in and emphasized that it’s just “disrespectful to an audience that loves you and spends a lot of money to be there.”

However, co-hosts Sunny Hostin and Ana Navarro defended Madonna, with the former saying that fans should “know” they’re “gonna wait for two hours and listen to a DJ.”

“I’m not bothered by this, and I don’t think she should be sued. This is baked into Madonna, she’s an icon, she’s always late,” Hostin stated. “It’s part of her allure.”

As for Navarro, she poked fun at Haines for acting “like a concert virgin stood up for the very first time.”

The talk show personalities’ discussion came after news broke that two fans were suing Madonna for “false advertising” after she showed up to her Brooklyn, NY, concert two hours late in December.

Madonna was initially scheduled to start her tour in July 2023 but was forced to postpone it after she was hospitalized for a “serious bacterial infection” a month prior.

The “Material Girl” singer has since spoken out about the health scare, raving that it’s a “f–king miracle that I’m here right now.”

A rep for Madonna didn’t respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
