Britney Spears has revealed to her fans that she's now Catholic, in an Instagram post shared on Thursday.
The pop superstar, 39, who was raised Baptist, took to her account on the image-sharing platform to show herself posing in a casual ensemble.
She then followed up with a brief video of her twirling in a blue dress with a plunging neckline, which, she revealed, was her ensemble of choice for mass.
"I just got back from mass," the mother-of-two wrote at the end of her caption. "I'm Catholic now ... let us pray 🙏🏼 !!!"
Spears' revelation comes almost exactly one year after she revealed during a Q&A session on Instagram that she goes "back and forth" between religions.
Answering a fan's question about her religion, the singer said: "I grew up Baptist. But I studied Kabbalah so I go back and forth—but I do believe there is a god."
Kabbalah—which has been practiced by a host of stars, including Madonna, Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher, over the years—is a branch of Jewish mysticism.
The star discussed her beliefs in an interview with V Magazine in 2016, saying: "My relationship with god and myself, and that's what matters to me." She added: "I really don't care what most people think."
In a separate Instagram post, also shared on Thursday, the Louisiana-raised star was seen sporting a red bikini while sunbathing as she addressed her followers.
"OK, so I'm sure you guys are wondering how I'm doing," she said. "And since the cat is out of the bag, literally, out of the bag, um and you guys know my situation... I do wanna let you guys know that things are way better than I ever anticipated.
"And here are a couple of questions that you guys asked me apart from the conservatorship drama."
She followed up with a clip of herself answering a host of fan questions on subjects ranging from her favorite potato chip to her favorite scented lotion.
Spears is currently embroiled in a court battle to be released from a conservatorship that has allowed her father, Jamie Spears, to control her personal and financial affairs since 2008.
In July the "Toxic" hitmaker was granted permission to appoint her own attorney. She is now represented by high-profile Hollywood lawyer Matthew Rosengart.
"I'm here to get rid of my dad and charge him with conservatorship abuse," Britney Spears told Judge Brenda Penny in July, adding that she was "extremely scared" of her father and that "this conservatorship has allowed my dad to ruin my life."
"I am not perfect, but their goal was to make me feel crazy, and I'm not and that's not OK," added the singer.
Jamie Spears' lawyer Vivian Thoreen said he had no intention of resigning as conservator, adding: "Many of her [Britney Spears'] characterizations and memories are just incorrect."
